2. Real-money pools and betting
FDJ’s Loto Foot (around 30,000 retail points in France), online bookmakers. Here the odds are real by definition and so is the financial thrill: your money plays the match with you.
It’s a legal, regulated hobby — ANJ oversight, adults only, responsible gambling — but structurally a solo game: no private league with your friends, you play against the anonymous crowd. And every missed pick costs real euros.
